01 — About us
Glamping Dunas Chachalacas started from a simple idea: camping by the ocean without giving up a good bed. We built geodesic domes and bamboo-and-palm cabins among the dunes of Chachalacas Beach, with the pool at the centre, hammocks in the shade and warm light once night falls.
We are a small place, run by us. There is room here for families who want the beach without the fuss, groups of friends who arrive on Friday night, and anyone who simply needs to hear the sea two days in a row.

Live from the dune
The pool at the centre, bamboo creaking in the wind and the sea behind the dune. No edits, no filters: just an ordinary Saturday.

All of them include air conditioning, a private bathroom with hot water, linens and towels, WiFi and free access to the pool and grill area.

The couples' favourite. King bed under the palm roof, a triangular window facing the dune and a terrace with a hammock so you can watch the sunrise without leaving bed.

A dome with a panoramic window and its own bamboo-fenced garden. King bed, outdoor seating and the shade of the palm roof at midday.

The big dome: a king plus two singles, an outdoor table and the grill right there. Made for kids going in and out of the pool all day.

The dunes
Chachalacas has the largest dunes in the state and they sit right behind the glamping. We connect you with trusted local operators and tell you the best time to go.

When the sun goes down
With no city light around, nights here are something else: blue water, amber bamboo, the sea murmuring behind you and real stars over the dunes. It is the part of the trip nobody plans and everybody remembers.

You hear the sea before you open your eyes. Coffee in the common area and the pool all to yourself.

Climb, slide down, climb again. Bring water and a cap: the sand throws off a lot of glare at that hour.

A ride along the Actopan river and lunch at the palapas on the shore. Walk back along the sand.

You light the grill, the pool turns blue and the conversation stretches until the stars come out.

We do not have a restaurant, and you will not need one: the palapas of Chachalacas are minutes away and among the best on the coast. We will tell you which one to pick depending on the day and the hour.

We are on Prol. Dr. Carlos Sainz de la Peña, Playa de Chachalacas, Úrsulo Galván. Take federal highway 180 and drive in until you reach the beach.
